Bird Fairs Offer Variety

Bird fairs offer people a chance to see and buy a variety of exotic birds and bird related products.  Usually there are birds ranging from finches, canaries, and budgies, to conures, African Greys, Solomon Island Eclectus, Princess of Wales Parrots, Cockatoos, Amazons, and even Macaws.  In addition, most bird fairs have vendors who bring a variety of bird seed, pellets, vitamins, and snacks, as well as cages, perches, toys, jewelry, knick knacks, and art.  Generally, bird supplies are less expensive at bird fairs than at retail stores.

  1. I have a pair of great little parrotlets, male blue and female yellow. I would like a few more, a pair would be nice. I like white or blue best. Pls call when you have them for sale. I live in Iowa.

I also have 3canaries, supposedly 2 females and a yellow with bulk area. One of the females lays eggs all the time, but the male isn’t receptive. Any suggestions, I welcome, but I would like another male when you have them.

I was hoping you could ship them together to save a little, but if they aren’t ready, that’s ok. I can send deposit via PayPal or mail when you say. Thanks,

    • Peggy,
We have a female blue parrotlet that I finished hand feeding about 2 weeks ago. I am also going to be hand feeding some baby parrotlets in about a week. Make sure your canaries have plenty of fresh fruits and veggies, egg food, and cuttlebone. We use calcium gluconate 23% in the water, also, and give our birds some powdered calcium and vitamin d on fresh food. You might try a little hemp or pee pollen. Pam Sysinger
